The Challenge
SportsPro Live, hosted by SportsPro Media, is a leading sports business event. Bringing together professionals from broadcasting, sponsorship, technology and operations, SportsPro Live needed an event highlight video as a core marketing asset to capture the day.
To achieve this, SportsPro partnered with Vox Pops International for video production in order to produce a dynamic event highlight video. The goal of the video was to capture the energy, insight and networking opportunities of the day. With speakers from Arsenal, England Rugby, YouTube and more, the video needed to capture the range of attendees to show the impact of the event, to help attract audiences and sponsors for the next year.
The Approach
From the outset, we planned an event highlight video that would showcase every key element from SportsPro Live at The Oval. With the event taking place at an iconic venue, it gave us the ability to pre-plan the shots we wanted to capture.
Our approach was to mix b-roll filming and vox pop interviews. The interviews were a mix of pre-selected attendees, and intercept interviews from our team, so we could get a range of interviews throughout the two days. We wanted to create positive soundbites from attendees on what they like about the event.
B-roll footage captured panel sessions, networking spaces and activations. For example there was a cricket activation on the main pitch, which produced stylised shots, perfect for a sports event highlight video.
After the two days concluded, we combined all the footage to deliver an engaging 2 minute video for the SportsPro Live team.
The Impact
We produced an event highlight video for SportsPro Live that could be shared across their website and social media. The video highlighted the success of their event, to help attract new attendees and sponsorship opportunities for the next year. The high production quality, paired with the vox pop interviews provided an effective marketing asset for SportsPro Live.
