The Challenge
As a leading resource for online safety, Internet Matters needed an engaging video to capture their successful partnership and event with Tesco Mobile.
The event was hosted at Tesco Mobile Phone Shop, and was related to their initiative, Digital Matters, which provides teachers with free online safety resources.
With a workshop and online safety lessons being taught to primary school children, video was sought to capture the engaged students, and the overall success of this new partnership. The video was needed for their social media, where they could engage their community and bring attention to Digital Matters.
The Approach
To deliver engaging, high-quality content, we deployed a two-camera setup. One camera filmed immersive B-roll of the students engaging in activities. Such as how the children were interacting and engaging with the day. The second camera captured the interviews. As a result, we captured nearly 270 B roll clips overall.
We had a producer on-site to ensure smooth interview facilitation, and in order to ensure elicit authentic responses, we worked with a discussion guide that was co-created with Internet Matters.
At the event we had the opportunity to speak with students, teachers, and key representatives from both Internet Matters and Tesco Mobile. We filmed 8 interviews in total. Capturing insight in this way gave us a range of different perspectives which could be incorporated into the video to show how the event and partnership gave a lasting impression on all those involved.
Throughout the event, our team worked seamlessly within the environment, capturing all significant moments without disrupting the interactive lessons. The interviews reinforced the importance of digital safety, while the B-roll added rich context, ensuring a visually appealing final edit.
The Impact
As a result of the video content produced, several compelling social media clips were created for Internet Matters, leading to increased engagement across their platforms. We also created a longer-form video for YouTube, giving Internet Matters flexibility to adapt content for future campaigns. Our video successfully showcased the collaboration between Tesco Mobile and Internet Matters, reinforcing their shared mission of promoting online safety.
