The Challenge

Innocent, known for their commitment to natural and healthy products, partnered with Vox Pops International to create a video showcasing their employee experience and work culture. They wanted to be able to capture their ethos which radiates through their employees, as part of updating their employee brand.

The objective was to gain insight into the thoughts and experiences of employees at Fruit Towers, their London headquarters, and to create captivating video content which shows the brand’s values and demonstrates the best parts for working at Innocent.

The Approach

In order to extract nuanced insight from employees, we partnered with innocent’s marketing team to create a discussion guide that would encapsulate the employee experience. It was important to highlight what makes innocent employees happy there, and to pull out unique answers that covered topics such as job progression, flexibility benefits and how they operate as a team.

Fruit Towers has unique features as a headquarters, from the incorporation of greenery and grass into their office layout, as well as the interesting way they maintain relationships through a banana phone. Our filming also wanted to capture how this workspace impacts the team internally, and how it’s a core feature to their company culture.

With the aim to capture genuine and authentic insight, we had a two-camera set-up and a producer on-site to interview employees. We spoke to a mix of employees across the company, and used the discussion guide as a reference to get the desired answers. The employee interview footage with B-roll clips of the vibrant office were layered together to show the full picture of working for innocent.

The Impact

The end product was an engaging video which innocent could use to highlight the employee experience. The passion driving the brand’s success was evident, with our interviews capturing the employee’s genuine enthusiasm for their roles, and pride in working for the company.

The video is used as a recruitment tool for potential employees, as well as shared across social platforms to create awareness and excitement. With the cross-platform outcome, the videos varied in aspect ratios and also included subtitles for accessibility. Despite the video not outwardly being for marketing purposes of their products, the video still received 1.4k views on Youtube.
